Cloud-based configurator for
microchannel cores
The Client
TK Desk is the web platform developed for Thermokey for the design and technical configuration of microchannel heat exchangers. The project will continue to evolve, gradually incorporating new features such as quotation management and order processing.
The needs
The client’s requirement was to develop an innovative, reliable configurator accessible via the web, at different levels, to all professionals within the company. This need also stemmed from the desire to maintain strong competitiveness in the global market and continue providing excellent service to their customers.
Solution
Following an analysis of the processes, we designed a Cloud-based software that encompasses all the necessary calculation and configuration functions. The software also integrates with the main management system, streamlining communication between offices and sales workflow.
TK Desk is essential for configuring the company's microchannel cores. It enables Thermokey to perform fluid dynamics calculations, generate product data sheets and effortlessly prepare quotes for customers.
The company and its customers can easily access the portal via the web. This eliminates the hassle of installing, updating, and maintaining local software, streamlining the processes.
The software is continuously evolving, incorporating an ever-expanding range of product types. It has already been released and is in use, ensuring the company's productivity continuity and allowing us to gather feedback on its usability.

PRODUCT CONFIGURATION
Calculation and configuration of microchannel heat exchangers. Includes customized calculation engines for different product classes, a multi-unit converter, a multilingual mode, and a currency conversion system. The document generated from the configuration includes a detailed illustrated design.
CUSTOMER AND PRODUCT DATABASE
The platform allows for orderly and centralized management of both customers and configured products. It is connected to a cloud database for secure storage of all technical, customer, and product configuration data.
QUOTE GENERATION
The system is designed to implement cost estimation and quote generation. Usability and the sales process are simplified so that sales representatives can independently generate complete quotes without requiring support from the technical team.
MULTILEVEL ACCESS PERMISSIONS
Many types of users with different corporate roles use the platform. The system enables predefined access to specific areas of the platform based on the user's role (e.g., Customer, Agent, Sales, Back Office, Admin…).
AUTOMATED DOCUMENT GENERATION AND COMPLETION
For each operation performed, the system automatically generates the corresponding pre-filled documentation. Documents can be downloaded directly by the end user.
